HOW TO MEMORIZE THINGS………………………..
OMG, exam season is here. NEET, AIIMS, Board exam and even school exam also.
Today I will tell you some basic steps to train your BRAIN. As you know the brain is a vital organ. It also controls and co-ordinates our body and our behavior. From the beginning (at the stage of infancy) we try to learn many things by touch, taste, vision, smell and by many other means. In this stage, our brain develops much connection with our other body parts and works with them nicely.
At the end of this article, you will realize that many things which I have described here is not easy for all and need some time and practice.
So, the topic is, how to train my brain so that I can learn and remember things more easily and also execute at the time of my exam?
In this article, I will describe one of the basic skills to train your brain for remembering things easy.
So today’s topic is “IMPRESSION” (making a photographic image of your content).
When we discuss the brain power, all have different ability and also different method to remember things. First and foremost important thing to remember a thing is to create a deep, exact and permanent impression. For that, you have to focus on that thing. Many famous people have more concentration power. For example, Theodore Roosevelt, Abraham Lincoln.
Whenever someone meets Mr. Roosvelt, they all feel shocked and exclaim for his concentration power. The impression of things which he had created was like on the iron block. After so many years as it is. The main reason for this is that he had trained his brain for such kind of things by practicing so many times. He somehow managed to focus his brain on particular thing. We also have to do this kind of thing. Do something to focus. When he indulge himself in reading a book then whatever the other circumstance may be, he learn how to neglect other things or let say overcome that hindrances. Other factors like location, people, sound of animal doesn’t bother him.
We just have to focus our mind on something for just 5-6 min. Just by seeing things for certain time we have just created a photocopy of that particular thing. Every person whom we meet, everything which we saw, everything that we touch creates a unique positive impression in our brain. We just have to recall that photograph at the time of exam. So whatever we do give our 100%, so that brain can create good photographs.
Now the second question is, “How to focus on something?”
Many people have this kind of question and it is obvious also. We have also find difficulty to focus on or studies. Let me give you simple solution. By asking more questions and understanding practical usage of that theory we can solve the problem. Just link the topic with some people, certain landmark, certain color and many more things. Ask spelling of the word, meaning and make story for that topic.
For example: To remember Atomic numbers of atom, I had created some photograph and let say an animation in mind, which link to the numbers. Like number 1 (one) with run, number 2 (Two) for zoo, number 3 (three) for free, number 4 (four) for you’re and so on… Funny isn’t it? Yes it is. But in this way we can make a meaningful statement to remember a topic.
Let us study other example of Mr. Abraham Lincoln. When he was in school, his teacher told them to speak aloud. This way of learning and reading make him strong for remembering things. By speaking aloud, our three main organs take participation in training of our brain.
- · Brain it self
- · Eyes
- · Ear
So try to engage all these body organs in action. When they co-ordinate to learn or remembering one topic it is a better way. May be few of us have habit to study like this way. Let me say that it’s a good practice.
And lastly, whatever you had learn or remembered try to make a copy on paper. Try to make exact copy of that topic on paper so that you will get good marks. Try to write it down once, twice, thrice and as many as time so that you’re writing skill will improve.
By applying all or some of the technique which I have mention above you will definitely remember things more easily and for longer time. After achieving certain perfection for your topic try to recall it after few day and try to quick revise that topic so that it will imprint on your brain for longer times.
So, main conclusion is trying harder to focus on your topic, learn topic by speaking aloud (without disturbing others) and at the end don’t be lazy to write down topic as exact as possible.
