Over time, the Spotlight on Strategies (SOS) series has grown from a small collection of straightforward instructional strategies to help educators make the most of digital media, to a robust collection of creative and engaging research-based strategies that teachers around the globe are using to change the way digital media is used in their classroom.
Throughout this school year, we’ve elevated and celebrated many SOS Stories that showcase the amazing work of students and teachers in schools around the globe.
SOS Strategies (CDN Version) are flexible enough to be used in any classroom, regardless or experience or access to technology. Many of the strategies, however, are a natural fit for incorporating the use of technology in the form of tablet and Chrome-based apps, websites, and Google Classroom templates.
Are you interested in finding out more about pairing digital tools with SOS? Many of your fellow Discovery Educators shared suggestions that have worked well in their classrooms and schools. Our thanks to Lindsay Foster, Curt Witthoff, Jeannine Shields, Abby Schiferl, Kelly McDonald, Dana Johnston, Carrie Willis, and Caitlin Arakawa for sharing these samples and ideas.
