Celebrate World Space Week with other humans around the Earth from October 4 – 10. The 2018 theme is “Space Unites the World” – a great opportunity to talk about the common fascination humans have with the vast space in which we exist. It’s also a good time to talk about curiosity and exploration. We’ve gathered resources about looking to space from where we stand on this spinning globe and venturing out into it thanks the combination of wonder and science. Happy star gazing!

Preface your World Space Week activities with Discovery Science Alliance: Asking Questions(Canadian Version). The program shares the importance of curiosity to scientific investigations. Students are encouraged to practice asking questions about space and see how questions from the past have allowed current space explorations to develop. Ask your students to think of questions before, during, and after your study of the content collections and virtual journeys on the field trips.
